Despite a slow start in the weekdays, Salaar witnessed a high-performance return during the New Year weekend, crossing the domestic net collection of Rs 360.77 crore. The Telugu version dominated with a commanding 48.75% occupancy, closely followed by the Hindi version at 28.03%.

Salaar's global success story unfolds with a total gross of Rs 625 crore, just Rs 25 crore shy of eclipsing Baahubali 1's monumental worldwide earnings of Rs 650 crore. Director Prashanth Neel's great work has now marked its name as the fifth-biggest Indian film of 2023, surpassing milestones set by Vijay's Leo and Rajinikanth's Jailer.

Prabhas, expressing gratitude to fans, took to Instagram, sharing his New Year wishes and acknowledging Salaar's resounding success. After struggling to get a hit since 2017, the actor's successful return follows a series of setbacks, making Salaar not just a film but a roaring comeback for the Baahubali sensation.
