Islamist attacks 'Ram Bhakt's" in Mumbai's Mira Road; vandalised vehicles carrying Bhagwa flag

As the nation gears up to celebrate Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha with devotion and joy, some Islamic Radicals unable to digest the celebration, attacked and vandalised the vehicles carrying flags depicting Bhagwan Rama. The incident took place in the Mumbai's Mira Road area.

According to allegations, the troublemakers indulged in vandalism, shouting slogans of "Allahu Akbar" and "Takbir."
 
Police have arrested 5 people in connection with the case and further investigations are underway. An FIR has been lodged by the Naya Nagar Police Station under section 307 of IPC (attempt to murder) and section 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion) against unidentified individuals.
 
According to DCP (Zone I), Jayant Bajbal, the verbal arguments arose from what he described as "nothing but a scuffle over a petty matter." He urged citizens not to succumb to rumours, reassuring the public that no communal flare had been reported in connection with the incident.
 
 
 
Confirming the incident, Jayant Bajbale, DCP said, "At around 11 pm yesterday, some people of the Hindu community were raising slogans in 3-4 vehicles in the Naya Nagar area of Mira Road adjacent to Mumbai. After this, an argument started with some people belonging to the Muslim community. Seeing the deteriorating situation, the police vehicle immediately reached the spot and took some people into custody. The situation has been brought under control and a flag march was conducted in the area. Naya Nagar Police has registered a case against 5 people, arrested them and has started investigating the matter."
 
To identify the culprits, various teams have been formed, relying on viral video clips and CCTV footage. The incident has raised concerns about communal tension in the area. Police claimed the situation was under control and appealed to citizens not to believe any rumours and to maintain peace.
