Recently we used the Ram dhwajas, strips, and headwear on the occasion of the Consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya in a huge quantity. Now the problem we face that what is to be done with those? No one can think of throwing them away as garbage. They all are made of synthetic materials. It is less expensive and the colours are bright and fast, probably printing on it is easier and availability of the material to matters. These things were made available in every nook and corner, people bought them with great faith as they wanted to celebrate the occasion.

Beyond the Ceremony: Managing Cultural & Religious Event Materials Responsibly

Similar is the case of elections and other events like Independence Day, innumerable quantity is required, but after the event things lose their propriety. Especially during the election phase, a huge material gets manufactured and distributed in every corner of the country. What is to be done with these is a serious problem.

It seems that the synthetic materials can be recycled, probably Panipat has many such units. Blankets and some winter wear are made of recycled material. This seems to be an effective method and these things are not very expensive too. If people know that a few things are made by recycling the material used for dhwaj and other things, they might like to donate the things they have and even would
like to buy recycled things. Is it possible to recycle all such things? Can some centers be opened for collection?
It is very painful to see these things scattered around, thrown in the garbage bins, or being thrown in the rivers and they don't degenerate but pollute the water.

Ganapati idols too had the problem of disposal, but gradually some solutions were in sight, now it has a logical direction to proceed.

When the need was felt for the disposal of E-waste, the method was developed. To a great extent, there are better solutions, consistently awareness is also being created.

But the solution to this issue is probably not yet found, it is indeed essential. Every year many photos appear in the print media, and some clips become viral, but all are clueless about the satisfactory way of disposal. All the experts need to guide the society to solve the problem.

All are looking with expectation to the science.
