Damoh, Feb 5: In a shocking development, hundreds of Muslims stormed into the police station in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh on Saturday night and threatened to chop off the neck and hands of Hindus. Notably, a scuffle between a Muslim tailor and a Hindu customer led to this communal tension in Damoh.
This turned into a communal dispute when hundreds of people reached the police station. In a video that went viral on social media was seen addressing a gathering outside the station threatening Hindus. He said that he will chop off the hands and necks of Hindus if needed. A daring police officer was also seen confronting the crowd and urged them not to use such foul language.
Though there have been several versions of this communal tension, one fact that emerged is a Muslim mob threatening Hindus outside the police station which raises concern.
What happened?
A tailor, who was not able to stitch the clothes of a customer on time, was assaulted by four people including the customer. However, things worsened when another man named Hafiz came to the rescue of the tailor got injured in the scuffle. It should be noted that, according to the reports, the four accused did not who Hafiz was. Police have booked the four people and an investigation underway.

As police witnessed that they created a ruckus and an attempt was made to disturb the social harmony, police filed an FIR against 40 people under sections 153 A, 141, 147.
