What did Arvind Kejriwal say?

Kejriwal termed the government's decision to implement CAA as "very dangerous" and said that the government money which should be spent on the development of family and country will now be spent on allowing Pakistanis to settle in India.

"After ruling the country for 10 years and just before the elections, they have to talk about the Citizenship Amendment Act. If you had done some work in these 10 years, perhaps you would have asked for votes on your work instead of on CAA. It means that a large number of minorities from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be brought to our country, and they will be employed and settled here. The youth of the country are not being given employment by the BJP government. Many people of India do not have houses but BJP wants to bring people from Pakistan and give them houses here," he said.

Delhi Police deployed outside Kejriwal's residence

Delhi Police personnel stationed outside the Chief Minister's residence have prevented the protesters from advancing further. Among the demonstrators, a considerable number, estimated to be around 100-150 individuals, consist of young children and their mothers.

The protesters are calling for an apology from Arvind Kejriwal, with some of them holding placards bearing messages such as "Kejriwal Sharam Karo" and "CAA Kanoon Par Bhramhak Byan, Kejriwal Maafi Mango." They also accused the Delhi Chief Minister of spreading lies over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) which was recently notified by the Centre.

"We have left everything from Pakistan and have come to India for shelter. If Modi government is concerned about us, then why is Kejriwal so jealous," an angry Sikh who migrated from Pakistan said.

Another protester said, "We were facing atrocities since 1947. Now, the government has given us happiness. Then Kejriwal calls us 'chor'".
