PM Modi stands by 'Shakti'; Roars at Rahul Gandhi for his 'Fight against Shakti' statement

Pulling a Rahul Gandhi for yet another time, the Congress leader used the word "Shakti" referring to the BJP-led government, in a failed attempt to understand its present social context.

New Delhi, Mar 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (Mar 18) hit back at Rahul Gandhi over his Shakti remark and said that he is willing to sacrifice his life for 'Shakti.' Addressing a rally in Jagtial, Prime Minister said that it was an honour for him that Nari Shakti has gathered to bless and support him.

Rahul Gandhi in his statements made on Sunday (Mar 17) in Maharashtra at the concluding ceremony of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra raised serious concerns about the functioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM). However, pulling a Rahul Gandhi for yet another time, the Congress leader used the word 'Shakti' referring to the BJP-led government, in a failed attempt to understand the present social context of the word in the country that refers to the women of the country.

 
 
 
 
 
 
The Prime Minister said that on the one hand there are people, who talk about the destruction of power while on the other hand there are people who worship Shakti.

He further said that his government dedicated the success of the Chandrayaan mission by naming the point where Chandrayaan landed as 'Shiv Shakti'.
