Days after a bomb blast took Rameshwaram Cafe sending shock waves across Karnataka, now the reports are surfacing that the police have seized explosive items and gelatin sticks from a School in Bellandur Police Station limits.

A tense situation prevailed after police found explosives in the tractor. The seized materials were found in the vehicle parked on an open ground in front of Prakriya School.
 
 
Based on the information, the police visited the spot and seized the materials. Initial information suggests that the explosives were meant to be used for construction.
 
An FIR has been registered under the Explosives Act and IPC section 286 (negligent conduct with respect to explosive substance). The police are searching for the owner of the vehicles to find more details in the case.
 
On March 1, two Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blasts took place with a gap of five seconds at the popular eatery Rameshwaram Cafe in the Brookfield area in the city. The accused was caught on the CCTV camera while placing the bag containing the IED in the cafe.
 
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) are jointly conducting the investigation. The investigation agencies have taken into custody some of the accused from Bengaluru and Ballari Central Jail and are questioning them.
 
The accused was caught on the CCTV camera installed at the Ballari Bus Stand. He is said to have met one of his associates and escaped from the city on the same day of the blast.
Rameshwaram blast
 
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday obtained the custody of a key accused in the 2022 Shivamogga Islamic State (IS) module case as part of its investigations into the blast that occurred at The Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru on March 1.
The NIA obtained a body warrant for seven days of custody of Maaz Muneer Ahmed, 25, an engineering post-graduate lodged in the Bengaluru central prison in connection with the Shivamogga IS module case. Ahmed is the first person taken into custody directly by the NIA as part of its investigation into The Rameshwaram Café blast that injured nine people. He is not named as an accused in the case.
 
As reported earlier, the blast took place at the cafe on March 1 in Bengaluru’s Whitefield area where several people were injured following an explosion that occurred during the busy lunch hour. Over half a dozen people got injured after a low-intensity blast took place in The Rameshwaram Cafe, a popular eatery in Bengaluru’s Brookfield area. Earlier, the Bengaluru Police had registered a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosives Substances Act in connection with the explosion at the cafe.
