This came after Samajwadi Party MP and General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav claimed that BJP instigated violence during elections. In an interaction with the reporters when asked about the Budaun horror, the SP leader replied saying that, "BJP always makes violence happen at the time of elections" and laughed while saying it.

Moreover, SP's party media cell also mocked the victims while criticising the BJP. It wrote, “BJP wants to win elections by creating riots and communal tension in UP and that is why it is itself carrying out such incidents and creating communal tension, the result of which was Budaun's incident. When the BJP loses due to the real promises of the public, then religious disputes, and religious fight is the last weapon of the BJP. Since the establishment of the BJP, many goons and scoundrels have been roaming freely and due to the establishment of the BJP, such a situation is being created due to which fights are increasing in society.

In a spine-chilling crime, Mohammad Sajid and Javed slit the throats of two minor boys and injured another minor boy after going into their house. Sajid was killed in a police encounter while he tried to escape. The accused attacked the minors with a sharp knife. The mother of the two boys saw that the clothes of the accused were drenched with blood when they came downstairs. Both had gone to their house for asking money of Rs 5,000.

The father of the deceased who is a private contractor was out of the district at the time of the incident. Police have not clarified about the whereabouts of Javed. Police have also not confirmed the motive behind the incident. Police have booked both Javed and Sajid for murder (under IPC Section 302 IPC) in the FIR. Considering that the case pertains to people from different communities, a heavy police force has been deployed in the area.
