Udaipur, Mar 21: In yet another Kanhaiya Lal-like murder, a group of radical Islamist mob attacked a Hindu man with sharp weapons including swords and knives in Rajasthan's Udaipur. The victim was saved in time after the police reached the spot.
Notably the radical mob was led by Rehan and Moosa who attacked Suresh Gamethi in the Ratakhet area of the Ambamata police station circle. The assault took place after a minor argument between both sides escalated as soon as the radical mob consisting of at least 8-10 gathered. In this attack, Suresh got severely injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
On receiving information about the incident, Ambamata police station officer Dr Hanumant Singh Rajpurohit reached the spot with his team registered a case against the accused and started an investigation.

Kanhaiya Lal murder
Kanhaiya Lal, a Hindu tailor was beheaded in June 2022 inside his shop in Udaipur by two radical Muslim men in broad daylight for allegedly posting content in support of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma. The incident came close on the heels of Sharma’s suspension from the BJP for remarks on the Prophet.
Notably, two of the accused captured the heinous act on video, provoking widespread outrage and prompting swift arrests. The beheading of the Udaipur tailor sent shockwaves across the country and sparked a public outcry.
The two accused were arrested within hours of the incident. The assailants identified themselves in the video as Riyaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad, police said.
