Mandi, Mar 25: Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut wished a happy Holi to her fans as she interacted with the media for the first time after she was declared BJP's candidate for Mandi in the upcoming 2024 General Elections.

“"Aapke saare darshako ko bohot bohot shubhkaamnaaye Holi ki. Mera suabhagya hai ki meri janmabhumi, mere apno ne mujhe wapis bulaya hai. Agar wo mujhe chunenge, main unki seva me tatpar rahungi. The actor thanked Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for letting her contest Elections from the Mandi constituency.

Kangana’s name was mentioned in the fifth list of candidates that the BJP released on Saturday night. The actor has been an ardent supporter of the party and has never shied away from speaking out on matters of national importance. The actor took to X after her candidature became official and thanked the party and her followers for showing faith in her. She also said she would prove to be a faithful party worker and a ‘reliable public servant’.

On the film front, Kangana will next be seen in her directorial Emergency. She plays the role of former PM Indira Gandhi in the film.
