Notably, on the cover of the textbooks, pictures of the flag of the United Kingdom, Big Ben and Bible-like were published. He has raised objections to the book's cover page design, which has the flag of England and a picture of Big Ben clocktower.

“It is unfortunate that our officials did not remember that in this book, a picture of the flag of England has been published instead of our national flag. The picture of Big Ben clocktower, then stars and moon have been published…from the symbols made on the coverage, it also seems like the picture of Bible has also been published, which is highly objectionable,” Madan Dilawar said.

Further, he has also ordered the authorities to investigate and submit a report on why a remedial workbook for English of Class 9 is being distributed to students now, at the end of the academic session.

The minister said, “It has been brought to my notice, that a remedial workbook for the subject English for class 9 has been published and distributed to students now, when board and final examinations are almost over. Some officials have mala fide intentions and vested interests and this seems like a conspiracy to make money. I have instructed officials to conduct an investigation and submit a detailed report with information regarding how much money was spent in this process, who was behind the printing of these books…”

He said that after the report is submitted, strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
