"I was not given parole to attend my mother's last rites during the Emergency, and now they (Congress) call us dictators," Rajnath Singh said, drawing attention to the Congress party's actions in the past. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took a strong stance against Pakistan in a recent interview with ANI, stating that India is prepared to collaborate with its neighbor to combat terrorism if Pakistan "feels incapable." Rajnath Singh warned that Pakistan would face serious consequences if it attempted to destabilize India through acts of terrorism.

"If Pakistan feels incapable, India is ready to cooperate to stop terrorism," Rajnath Singh emphasized. The Defence Minister's remarks regarding Pakistan followed his previous statements on a TV channel, where he expressed India's willingness to cross the border to eliminate terrorists seeking refuge in Pakistan.

Rajnath Singh's comments were made in response to a report by The Guardian, which alleged that India had conducted "targeted killings" in Pakistan since 2020 to eliminate terrorists. "If terrorists tried to disrupt peace in India, then 'ghus ke maarenge' (We will enter Pakistan and attack them)," Singh stated, reiterating India's readiness to take strong action against threats.

Despite this, Singh maintained that India has never instigated an attack on another country or sought to seize their territory. "India has never attacked any country or tried to capture their territory. But if anyone threatens India or its peace, they will not be spared," he asserted.

Pakistan criticized Rajnath Singh's comments as "provocative," claiming that such statements hinder potential for long-term engagement between the two countries. "History attests to Pakistan's firm resolve and ability to protect and defend itself," Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs added in a statement.
