New Delhi, April 15: The Ministry of Home Affairs slammed far-left media portal The Caravan editor, Sushant Singh for sharing a "misleading" report of the Telegraph India claiming that ITBP sent a report to the government that there are 19 places along the Line of Actual Control that could witness transgression by the Chinese army.

What happened?

Notably, Sushant Singh who is the consulting editor of left-propagandist The Caravan Magazine, shared a report titled "19 spots on China incursion threat list" of The Telegraph India. While sharing it, he claimed, "Meanwhile, ITBP sends a report to the Modi govt that there are 19 places on the LAC that could witness transgression by the Chinese army once the snow starts melting during summer. This contradicts the basis of Modi's request to Beijing, as published in Newsweek".
In the report, it said, "The Indo-Tibet Border Police (ITBP) in its internal report has identified 19 sensitive spots along the China frontier from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh which are likely to witness incursion by the Chinese People's Liberation Army during summer, sources in the border-guarding force on Saturday".

How did the Home Ministry react?

Sharing the quote by Sushant Singh, the MHA said, This post by @SushantSin is MISLEADING, MALICIOUS and ILL MOTIVATED on the sensitive issue of National Security. ITBP has not submitted any such internal report to MHA."
Netizens urged the government to take legal action against such propagandist who share false information about Indian national security.
