Medha Kulkarni revives old culture! Takes oath for Rajya Sabha in Sanskrit language

Medha Kulkarni currently serves as the national vice-president of the BJP women’s wing. She represented the Kothrud Assembly constituency from 2014 to 2019.

Reviving ancient culture of 'Bharat', recently elected Rajya Sabha MP from Pune and BJP leader Medha Kulkarni on Wedensday, took the oath of the uppar house of Parliament in Dev vani Sanskrit language.
 
She took the oath in the presense of Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and deputy chairman Harivansh.

Medha Kulkarni in her Facebook post says, 'I am extremely happy to inform that today I had the honor of taking oath as a Rajya Sabha MP in Sanskrit in the presence of Honorable Speaker of the House, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhad. As a member of the Rajya Sabha, I was overwhelmed today while taking the oath in Sanskrit. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhad administered this oath.
 
At the same time, I am very grateful to the country's beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J.P. Nadda, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and also all the senior officials, activists, union officials of BJP who have given me this opportunity. Given a chance, showed faith. Also, I am indebted to all well-wishers and citizens who love me, whose encouragement I have always received,' said Kulkarni.
 
 
 
Earlier, the terms of 54 members of the Rajya Sabha ended on Tuesday and Wednesday (April 2 and 3). Among them 49 completed their tenure on Tuesday, five, including former prime minister Manmohan Singh, completed their terms on Wednesday.
 
Of the 54 Rajya Sabha MPs whose terms ended on Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 are Union ministers. Dr Manmohan Singh’s Rajya Sabha term ended on Wednesday after the former PM remained active in his 33-year-long parliamentary career.
