What Happened?

The flight, carrying 174 people, was forced to make an emergency landing in Tabuk, northwestern Saudi Arabia, after the co-pilot allegedly stabbed the other pilot and apparently attempted to crash the aircraft.

Passengers and crew reportedly intervened, entered the cockpit and overpowered the attacker, allowing the aircraft to be brought under control and landed safely. The suspect was arrested in Saudi Arabia following the incident.

According to the international media reports, there was currently no indication of the motive behind the alleged attack and responded that it was “too early to say” when asked about possible Iranian involvement.

He said the suspect was being investigated in Saudi Arabia and was expected to be taken to the United Arab Emirates, where the flight had originated. Netanyahu also told international media that Israel had received no prior warning or intelligence about the incident.

He said Israel would continue to follow the investigation and could potentially participate in it.

The incident has drawn international attention, with authorities now examining the circumstances of the alleged attack, the suspect's motive and whether anyone else was involved.

Meanwhile, attention in India has focused on Captain Machchhar, who has been widely praised for his actions despite being seriously injured
