Nashik, October 5 : A woman accused in serious cases involving alleged religious conversion and molestation is now facing a personal crisis alongside the ongoing legal proceedings. A case was registered at Deolali Camp Police Station based on a complaint by an unmarried woman working at a multinational company. The accused include Danish Sheikh, Tauseef Attar, Nida Khan, AIMIM corporator Mateen Patel from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and house owner Hanif Sheikh. In a separate case registered at Mumbai Naka Police Station, Nida Khan has also been named as an accused based on a complaint filed by a young man working at the same company. Tauseef Attar, Danish Sheikh, Shah Rukh Qureshi and Raza Memon are among the other accused in the case.

Khan has been granted conditional bail by the Nashik Road and Nashik district courts in both cases. She had been absconding in the Deolali Camp case since March 26. Her bail application was rejected by the Nashik Road court on May 2, after which she was taken into custody from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on May 7 and produced before the court on May 8. She was granted bail in the first case on July 6 and released from jail on July 8. She later secured bail in the Mumbai Naka case as well.

According to reports, Khan and her husband had married around two to three years ago. The ongoing legal proceedings and allegations have reportedly led to tensions within the family, following which her husband approached the court seeking divorce.

While granting bail to Khan, the court had taken into consideration the welfare of her unborn child and the importance of human rights. The court observed that Lord Krishna was born in a prison, but said that in a modern and civilised society, no innocent newborn should have to face a prison environment.

The court subsequently granted her bail, allowing her to remain outside prison during her pregnancy.
With Khan now facing divorce proceedings before the birth of her child, the case has taken on a personal dimension beyond the ongoing criminal investigation. She is currently facing multiple challenges, including the legal proceedings, pregnancy, social pressure and uncertainty over her marital life.
