MSME Ministry Signs MoU with Samsung India to Boost Skill Development

The agreement aims to bridge the gap between industry requirements and the skills available among young professionals by providing training aligned with the needs of the industry. The collaboration is expected to improve the employability of youth and equip them with practical skills that can support their entry into the workforce or help them establish self-employment opportunities.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Rajneesh, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME. The partnership will be implemented through 15 MSME Technology Centres (TCs) located across the country.

The MSME Technology Centres play an important role in providing technical training, developing skilled manpower and supporting the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises. Through this collaboration, the Ministry aims to strengthen the connection between technical education and the evolving requirements of the industrial sector.

The partnership with Samsung India is expected to bring industry participation into the skill development ecosystem and create opportunities for young people to gain relevant technical knowledge and practical exposure.

The initiative also reflects the Ministry's efforts to strengthen the MSME ecosystem by developing a skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of modern industries. By involving private-sector companies in skill development programmes, the government aims to create better pathways for youth employment while supporting entrepreneurship and self-employment.

The collaboration is expected to benefit trainees at the participating Technology Centres and contribute to building a more industry-ready workforce in the country.
