The girl was eventually rescued by the Khadan police after the family of the girl in Haryana lodged a missing persons complaint. The incident created significant tension in the area, while members and office-bearers of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad gathered at the police station, alleging that the case involved Love Jihad.

As per the available information, the accused is already married and has a child. He operated a fake account on a gaming app through which he was in contact with several young Hindu women. One of these was the victim. (Akola crime news)

It is stated that the victim was already in a vulnerable state of mind and used to share personal details with the accused unknowingly. During the online conversations, the girl is believed to have told him that she was enraged with her mother, as the latter had scolded her. Taking the benefit of this, the accused asked her to stay with her and brainwashed her. He also forced her to establish a physical relationship.

In the meantime, the brother of the victim girl reached Akola in search of the victim and contacted Khadan Police, leading to the exposure of the case. Zamir Qazi is currently in police custody and is expected to be handed over to the Haryana police. (Akola Love Jihad)
