On Wednesday, May 13th, the Municipal Corporation in the city of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar demolished an illegal 600-square-foot house and an associated office owned by AIMIM corporator Matin Patel in Kausar Park. The Corporation stated that Patel had constructed the property illegally, without obtaining the necessary authorizations.

As per the initial information, Patel was given a legal notice on May 9th, following which the corporation decided to take bulldozer action. This probably comes after Patel was caught sheltering the Nashik TCS prime accused, Nida Khan.

Nida Khan was booked at Deolali Police Station under Sections 69, 75, 299, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with multiple provisions of the SC/ST Act for brainwashing the victim Hindu employees working in TCS and forcing them to adopt Islamic practices.

Investigators have accused Khan of hurting religious sentiments, attempting religious conversion, discouraging survivors from filing complaints, and assisting accused people in alleged rape and sexual exploitation cases linked to the TCS Nashik unit. Police sources said the locality from where Khan was detained falls within the constituency represented by Patel, giving rise to scrutiny over his alleged role in helping her.

Nida reportedly was arrested for her key role in sexually harassing Hindu women working at TCS, mentally torturing them, and forcing them to convert to Islam. What makes the case particularly alarming is the calculated, methodical nature of the alleged conduct; this was not a single incident, but a sustained operation carried out under the cover of a corporate environment.
