On Tuesday, 26th May, Ranveer Singh responded after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against him over his reported exit from Don 3. Ranveer Singh Controversy: Dhurandhar Face Gets Banned
On Monday, FWICE stated that despite sending several reminders, Ranveer Singh did not appear before the federation to discuss the matter or explain his departure from the project. This further intensified discussions within Bollywood, with both fans and industry members waiting for the actor’s official response.

In a statement issued through his spokesperson, Ranveer Singh said that he has immense respect for the film industry and everyone associated with the Don franchise. The statement added that Ranveer deliberately chose to remain silent during the controversy, believing that professional matters and personal relationships should be handled with dignity and mutual respect.

The spokesperson further said that although several reports and speculations had surfaced, Ranveer did not feel the need to respond publicly. According to the statement, his focus continues to remain on his work and future commitments. The actor also conveyed his goodwill towards everyone involved in the franchise and wished Don 3 continued success.

The controversy escalated after FWICE officially announced a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh. Speaking at a press conference, FWICE Chief Advisor and Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association President Ashoke Pandit explained that the issue began on April 11, when Farhan Akhtar reportedly filed a formal complaint against the actor.

According to Pandit, the complaint alleged that Ranveer Singh exited Don 3 just weeks before the shooting schedule was set to begin, causing major disruption to the project. FWICE then invited producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar to present their side. While Sidhwani attended the meeting in person, Farhan joined virtually from London.
Pandit also revealed that FWICE had sent three formal notices to Ranveer Singh, but reportedly received no response. He claimed that the actor’s team only contacted the federation after the press conference was announced, questioning FWICE’s authority to intervene in the matter.

FWICE President BN Tiwari said the issue was not merely a dispute between an actor and producers, but one that affected the livelihoods of thousands of workers connected to film productions. He stressed that when a film is delayed or halted unexpectedly, junior artists, technicians, and daily wage workers also suffer financial losses.

Tiwari further stated that no individual, regardless of their stardom, is above industry rules and regulations. Confirming the federation’s decision, he announced that FWICE had issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh with immediate effect and urged all affiliated bodies to support the move until the matter is resolved.
