On June 18, the Maharashtra Police filed an FIR against school authorities in Jalna who made minor students dance on 'Gustakh-e-Nabi ki ek saja, Sar Tan se Juda Sar Tan Se Juda' in an annual gathering event. The accused persons named in the FIR are Kids World English School's Principal Mohammad Vajiyoddin Tarekh Siddiqui, Teacher Sheikh Sajid Abdul Gani, and Anchor Ujma Tabassum.
As per the FIR obtained by Newsbharati, the charges imposed against the accused persons are promoting religious enmity, threatening national integrity, inciting public mischief, and common criminal intention. This is a day after a video went viral from the school showing minor students singing and dancing to an Islamic song in a school gathering. The video was posted by the Treeni social media handle, which also faced a legal notice for exposing the school authorities.
As
reported earlier, the dance was spotted at Tarique Siddiqui's friend's social club, Partur's 'Kids World English School'. The minor boys could be seen waving swords (probably fake) while dancing to the song 'Sar Tan Se Juda Sar Tan Se Juda'. While this was happening, a photo of Pakistani assassin Mumtaz Qadri was displayed in the background.
However, initially, instead of taking action against the school, state police summoned Treeni's social media account for exposing the truth. A notice was sent to the account saying that the 'account holder disseminated the video by creating and spreading a false narrative with the ulterior motive of disturbing communal harmony and inciting Hindu-Muslim riots'.
Later, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya took cognizance of the event and demanded that the state police take action against the school, following which a formal complaint has been filed against the school authorities.
As per the FIR exclusively obtained by Newsbharati, the school principal demanded the shooting of the video. It has also been mentioned in the complaint that it was the Principal who selected the song for the dance and also uploaded it on the YouTube channel of the school.
The complaint against the accused persons has been filed under sections 152, 196, 197(1)(a), 353(2), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Samhita, 2023. Further updates in the case are underway.
