A new case of Love Jihad has come to light from the Shamli region of Uttar Pradesh. A
complaint has been filed by Deoraj Malik, a medical store owner residing in the Dayanand Nagar locality of Shamli city. According to the FIR registered at the local police station, the accused have been identified as Chandni Qureshi, a resident of the Kajiwada locality, along with her sister Rahil Qureshi, Sumaila, Rabia, brother Aas Mohammad, Huma Qureshi, father Islam Qureshi, Maulvi Munawwar, and two other clerics.
The complainant stated that his son, Ayush Malik, was trapped in a romantic relationship as part of a deliberate conspiracy and was pressured into converting to Islam. As per the complaint, accused Chandni Qureshi and her family members, along with the clerics, deliberately lured his son into a relationship and subsequently blackmailed him. He complained that Ayush was coerced into embracing Islam and that a fraudulent Nikahnama (Islamic marriage certificate) had been prepared approximately four years ago.
Malik further complained that all the accused collectively subjected his son to mental harassment and pressure. Deoraj Malik also alleged that the accused attempted to pressure other members of his family to convert to Islam. According to him, when the family resisted, they received death threats. He further mentioned that Chandni Qureshi and her family had been appropriating his son's earnings for nearly five years. Questioning their intentions, Malik alleged that the family ultimately sought to gain control of his property.

The complainant also expressed suspicion that certain outsiders may have been involved in the matter. Superintendent of Police Narendra Pratap Singh stated that an FIR has been registered against the accused based on the complaint received. Statements of all individuals connected to the case are being recorded, and police teams are conducting raids to locate the accused. The investigation remains ongoing.
