A scuffle between two former office-bearers of an Apartment Owners Association (AOA) at a housing society in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has surfaced online after CCTV visuals of the fight went viral. The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 15, morning at the GS-7 high-rise complex, which falls under the Crossing Republik police station's jurisdiction. The clip reportedly shows the two men exchanging words inside a lift before the situation turns physical.

The individuals involved have been identified as Prahlad Kumar and Deepak Chopra, both of whom previously held positions in the society's AOA. Police said the disagreement began during a lift ride and quickly escalated into a physical altercation. In the visuals, one of the men appears to throw the first blow, following which both parties are seen grappling, pushing each other, and trading punches inside the elevator. The clip has since spread widely across social media platforms.

Notably, the footage carries a timestamp inconsistency: it starts off dated July 15, 2026 (consistent with when the incident reportedly happened), but later jumps to January 1, 2004, without explanation. Such glitches are typically attributed to camera clock malfunctions, device resets, or other recording errors, though authorities haven't clarified the cause in this case.

Residents say the two men had a history of friction over AOA-related matters, with tensions between them reportedly building up over time before boiling over on Wednesday. Deepak Chopra has since filed a police complaint at the Crossing Republik station, requesting action against the other individual. Police have confirmed that the complaint was received and a probe has been launched, with the viral video and other evidence being reviewed as part of the investigation.

Police stated that appropriate action would follow once the inquiry is complete, though it remains unconfirmed whether a formal FIR has been filed. Further legal steps will depend on what the investigation reveals. The episode has stirred conversation within the housing complex, with several residents voicing unease over how a dispute between former office-bearers turned violent within the premises. Police have appealed to residents to settle disputes through proper legal channels as the case is examined further.
