On Friday, July 21, the Film Nagar police in Hyderabad registered an FIR against one individual identified as Mohammed Rehan for sexually assaulting a minor girl and threatening to publish her private photos on social media.

According to the reports, Rehan allegedly captured some private images of the victim and used them to blackmail her, threatening to make the photographs public on social media platforms if she did not comply with his demands.
Fearing the threats, the victim approached the Film Nagar police station and filed a formal complaint. Acting swiftly, the police registered a case and launched an investigation in the matter. The complaint has been filed under the relevant sections of POCSO and BNS.
The incident has sparked outrage in the locality, with residents demanding strict action against the suspect. The victim and her family are receiving counselling support from the authorities. The investigation is on, and efforts are continuing to nab the suspect.
