Actress-turned-BJP MP Kangana Ranaut is back in the social media spotlight after a viral Instagram post, and her attempt to clarify it ended up fueling speculation that she was subtly targeting fellow actress Sonakshi Sinha.

The row began when a screenshot went viral claiming Ranaut had liked a post criticizing an unnamed actress for actively voicing support during the CAA protests while staying silent on the ongoing student protests in Jharkhand.

Once the screenshot spread online, Ranaut posted an Instagram story denying she had liked it, calling the claim false. However, in the same clarification, she made a pointed remark aimed at an unnamed "fellow actress," criticizing her dress sense and comparing her styling and manner of speaking unfavorably, while suggesting her appearance reflected poorly on her personal relationship. Ranaut added that while opinions were the actress's own, she could "do better" with her styling, and offered to help if needed.
 
 

Despite not naming anyone directly, many social media users concluded the comments were directed at Sonakshi Sinha.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Sinha has neither confirmed nor denied being the subject of the remarks, and Ranaut's story also stopped short of identifying who she meant. As of now, Sonakshi Sinha has not responded to either the original viral post or Ranaut's statement.
