Indians BRUTALLY grill Pakistanis for trolling President Murmu

In an expected display of misogyny from a country where women are frequently treated as mere objects, a Pakistani social media user recently made a racist remark targeting President Droupadi Murmu over her skin tone.This is not the first time social media accounts from across the border have resorted to passing derogatory comments about India's Head of State.

On September 12, as President Droupadi Murmu met Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian in New Delhi, news agency ANI shared video footage of the interaction on social media. Soon after, an account named "Cyborg" posted on X (formerly Twitter), writing, "I had to turn my phone brightness up to 100% just to see her face."


 

Earlier, the same user made another derogatory comment targeting President Droupadi Murmu, posting: "This single image is all it takes to understand why partition happened. Thanks Jinnah!"

 

It should be noted that this comes from a country where women are frequently treated as objects, and where systemic inequality and suppression remain deeply entrenched. Ironically this is the reason a nation has never seen a woman rise to its highest office. Sadly current comment reflects the mindset and environment of a country where a woman's sole purpose is treated as mere decoration.


It should be noted that similar behavior has also been seen closer to home. When Droupadi Murmu was first nominated for the presidency, several Congress leaders were seen passing derogatory comments. One Congress leader specifically targeted her background, claiming that she represented an "evil philosophy". More recently, senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi drew sharp criticism after referring to the President as a "poor thing" following a parliamentary address.
