New Delhi , September 8: Fresh claims have emerged in the Disha Salian death case, with advocate Nilesh Ojha, representing Disha’s father Satish Salian, saying that some people have approached the family with a proposal to become government witnesses and provide evidence related to the case.

Ojha said the people claimed that there were 13 murders connected to the case and offered to become approvers or government witnesses, but had certain conditions in return. He said the family has handed the matter over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and that the agency can examine the proposal and decide further action.

Ojha also raised questions over the handling of Disha Salian’s mobile phone. According to him, records showed that Disha’s phone remained active after her death on June 9.

He said that while the police had maintained that the phone had been seized and was in their custody, the usual procedure after seizure is to send a device to a forensic laboratory for examination.

Ojha claimed that the issue gained attention when reports about the phone being active started appearing in the media. He alleged that the police subsequently held a press conference involving senior officers, including the DCP and ACP, and presented a different version of events.

The lawyer also referred to former police officer Sachin Waze, saying that there is already a lookout for him in connection with the wider matter. He said the alleged links and claims should now be examined by the CBI.

The Disha Salian death case has continued to draw attention alongside the investigation into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The latest claims by Disha’s father’s lawyer are expected to be examined by the investigating agency as part of the ongoing probe.
