Yoga Day program sees nationwide participation of Muslims

New Delhi, June 22: Members of the Muslim community participated in the second International Yoga Day programs nationwide on Tuesday. A large number of Muslim men, women and children attended the Yoga Day program at Roorkee in Uttarakhand on Tuesday under the auspices of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM).

MRM Patron and RSS National Executive Committee member Indresh Kumar was present at the Yoga Day program at Roorkee.

In his brief address, Indresh Kumar said that the International Day of Yoga shows the greatness of India in the world and conveys India’s message of universal brotherhood to the global community.

He further said that yoga enhances unity between the Hindus and Muslims besides the cleansing of body, mind, and intellect. The yoga processes also rid people of anger, hatred, untouchability and violence, he added.

In his message on the Yoga Day Indresh Kumar said that yoga is a free medical treatment for the benefit of the rich and the poor. This process strikes the perfect balance between body, mind and intellect, instills love, fraternity, and unity, besides making an individual healthy. He said that yoga is the way to ward off despair and unlimited consumption.

Meanwhile, yoga guru Sayyad Shafaqat Hussain Kadri participated in the Yoga Day program at Ganj Basoda in Madhya Pradesh with his followers. Muslims participated in Yoga Day program at Delhi, Nagpur, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Raipur, Indore and other places under the banner of Muslim Rashtriya Manch.
