New Delhi, October 14: A typhoon tossed a cargo ship, Emerald Star in the Pacific off the Philippines left 26 crew members missing. 15 among the missed crew members were rescued on the same day but the search for rest 11 is still on.
Previously Japan Coastguard had dispatched patrol boats and aircraft to rescue the missing crew but due to bad weather and typhoon, the operation became difficult. Japan's 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters received an emergency call from the 33,205-tonne Emerald Star around 2 a.m. local time (1700 GMT Thursday) on Friday.
