Neighbours understand that India is no more weak, says Rajnath Singh

Lucknow, October 16: Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that India's borders are now completely safe and that China has begun to understand that India isn't weak anymore. Addressing people at a community organised programme in his Lok Sabha constituency, hit out at Pakistan for sending terrorists to India.

Reiterating Modi government's resolve to protect its borders, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that our neighbours like China and Pakistan knew that India was no longer a weak country and its borders are completely protected and safe.

 

The union Home Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has become a powerful country. He said, since the formation of Modi government at the Centre, India's prestige at the international level has grown.

He said that Pakistan is playing a dirty game by sending terrorists to India to destabalise our country. "But now this is a fact that our security forces are killing 2-4 terrorists per day. This has weakened terrorist network and we have been able to build confidence of people across Kashmir.

Notably, the Doklam standoff has certainly restricted and dented China’s image as a Bully, an expansionist who cannot be challenged nor controlled. China has blamed India for the whole mess accusing Indian troops to illegally crossing the Sino-Indian Seychelles section and bounded into China's Donglang area on June 18.

The number of terrorists killed in Jammu & Kashmir by security personnel increased 24% from 157 in 2015-16 to 194 in 2016-17. The number of security personnel killed in terrorist violence has declined 2.5% from 79 in 2015-16 to 77 the following year. The number of civilian casualties from terrorist-related violence increased almost five times to 52 in 2016-17 from 10 in 2015-16.

India is the seventh-largest country in the world, with a total area of 3,287,263 square kilometres. India measures 3,214 km from north to south and 2,933 km from east to west. It has a land frontier of 15,636 km and a coastline of 7,516 km.
