PM Modi to launch several infra Projects for Bhavnagar and Vadodara

Bhavnagar/ Vadodara, Oct 21: For the first time after assuming the office of Prime Minister Modi will be visiting the Bhavnagar District of Saurashtra region. On the auspicious occasion of Diwali and Gujarati new year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to dedicate several development projects for Bhavnagar and Vadodara. 

On October 22 ahead of the crucial assembly polls, Modi will kick-start the much-anticipated ferry service between Ghogha in Bhavnagar district and Dahej in Bharuch in the Gulf of Cambay. The first phase of ambitious transport infra project was completed with the whopping budget of Rs. 615 crore.Gujarat BJP president and MLA Jitu Vaghani also hail from Bhavnagar district. 

As reported by The Indian Express, the mega-project would reduce the between Bhavnagar and Bharuch from 310 kilometers by road to 30 kilometers. The then Gujarat Chief Minister Modi had crafted the idea of ferry service. He had laid the foundation stone for the project in January 2012. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to address the mammoth public rally in Ghogha. Modi will also undertake a journey to Dahej from Ghogha.

After dedicating ferry services PM Modi will be heading for Cultural city Vadodara scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects worth over Rs. 1,140 crore. Modi, who contested his maiden Lok Sabha election from Vadodara is also expected to announce the much anticipated mega flyover project with the cost of Rs 222 crore. According to VMC officials, Modi will lay the foundation for integrated transport hub called Jan Mahal, 3.1-km flyover from Genda Circle to Manisha Junction under the smart city Project.

Modi will lay the foundation stone of the capacity expansion project of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)’s approximately 1,050-km Mundra-Delhi petroleum product pipeline. Along with this, the Prime Minister will launch Greenfield Marketing Terminal project in Vadodara’s Asoj-Pillol villages.
