Mumbai, November 2: Since Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took charge for the first time; Bengal has seen no remarkable development in industry. Hence after facing heavy criticism, she is now putting tough effort to bring new investments in her state. During her visit to financial capital Mumbai, she has met business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and along with that, she has also met top industrialists and bankers. After meeting business leaders, on Thursday she also met Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray.

At starting of her visit, she met Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday evening at his Antilla residence in Mumbai. Soon after arriving in Mumbai she met the Reliance Industries Chairman and asked him to invest in Bengal. After her meeting she told Ambani would attend the Bengal Global Business Summit or BGBS organised by her government in January in Kolkata.

Later on Wednesday, she met top leaders in the industry including met State Bank chairman Rajnish Kumar, Kotak Banks Uday Kotak, Jindal Groups Sajjan Jindal, Godrej Groups Adi Godrej, developer Niranjan Hiranandani and Edelweiss group chairman Rashesh Shah. On the same day, she addressed the Young President’s Organisation (YPO) seminar.

Proving a buzz true, she also met Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday afternoon where Aditya Thackeray was also present. Though Shiv Sena has called the meeting a courtesy call and there is no other meaning to it but still few people are analyzing it as a preparation for 2019 election.
