India to launch its First National Rail and Transportation University at Vadodara.

New Delhi, December 21: After embarking the most ambitious project of bullet train, now India is all set to establish India’s First National Rail and Transportation University at Vadodara. The country is seen moving speedily towards progress in the field of transportation and infrastructure. Modernization and development has been the motto of the government and making these making new changes has paved a path to new ideas.

The initiative to establish the First National Rail and Transportation by the Ministry of Railways was approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This initiative is another stepping stone to generate more employment and give people a platform to experience new inventions. The Ministry aims to provide latest education and transportation applications. Along with this they have envisioned to provide the best training with all latest technologies. Gujarat will be experience a new modernized and innovative institute with the help of the existing land and infrastructure at the National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR) at Vadodara.


 

This will enhance the path of modernization and improve skilled manpower. The initiative will be adding up to the progress of the Indian Railways and will help India to be a global leader in transportation. This initiative will help in promoting “Make in India and also will support “Startup in India’ and ‘Skill India’. This will also support in smooth and speedy functioning of railway and also develop entrepreneur skills and generate employment on a large scale.

 

The University will be set up as a Deemed to Be University under de novo category as per the UGC [Institutions Deemed to be Universities] Regulations, 2016. However the government is working towards completing all approvals by April 2018 and to launch the first academic program in July 2018. The Ministry of Railways has created a not-for-profit Company under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 as the Managing Committee for this proposal.
