Mumbai, December 4: Shahsi Kapoor, the name instantly reminds a golden age in Bollywood. With his passing away, a brilliant chapter of Bollywood history has seen its end on Monday. The veteran actor after suffering from liver cirrhosis breathed his last at the age of 79 in Kokilaben hospital, Mumbai.
One of the most handsome heroes of Bollywood will always be remembered as one of the greatest actors of his time. He reflected his acting talent in films like Deewar, Shaan, Namak Halal, Kabhi Kabhie, Do Aur Do Paanch, 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' , 'Junoon' , 'Shaan' , and 'Namak Halaal'. In 2011, he was honored with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India for his contributions to Art-Cinema.In 2015, he was awarded the 2014 Dadasaheb Phalke Award, making him the third member of his family to receive the highest award in Indian Cinema after Prithviraj Kapoor and Raj Kapoor.
