New Delhi, January 11: With the aim of enhancing the awareness on government initiatives and encouraging youth participation to make things more effective, a 5 day National Youth Festival commencing on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand who is considered as the youth icon of India on 12th January.
The festival is organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in association with the Uttar Pradesh State Government. Present in this
inaugural function will be Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath
and other official authorities along with Col.
Rajyavardhan Rathore Union of State for Youth and Sports and
Mahesh Sharma, Union Culture Mnister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address
the event through a video conference encouraging the youth to present their
creative and innovative ideas to make their work more operational. It is for the
first time that the festival will be conducted in New Delhi.
The National Youth Award will be given at the beginning of the function. The motive of the festival is to create a Mini India to interact with the youth and bring out the socio cultural uniqueness. The inauguration will be followed by cultural and musical performance by local and renowned artists. The idea of the Festival being ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ is initiated in order to capture the vibrancy and fresh perspective of youth and to initiate to accomplish the Goal of New India. Around 5000 volunteers are participating from all parts of the country along with local accredited youth.
