Washington, January 12: A single comment reportedly made by US President Donald Trump has outraged entire Africa. Over migration issue, in a meeting with senators, he had described African nations, as well as Haiti and El Salvador as “shitholes”. After the report broke out, global communities, politicians and African countries condemned the comment. Now, a group of 54 "extremely appalled" African countries demanded he retracts and apologizes for his reported comments.
UN Human Rights organization termed the comment as purely “racist”. “There is no other word one can use but racist. You cannot dismiss entire countries and continents as ‘shitholes’, whose entire populations, who are not white, are therefore not welcome.” “There is no other word one can use but racist. You cannot dismiss entire countries and continents as ‘shitholes’, whose entire populations, who are not white, are therefore not welcome.” He said the issue goes beyond vulgar language.
While there are generations of migrators in US, it definitely offended them too. As America already an embodiment of citizens from different races it is definitely offensive for black people and the migrants living there too.
