‘Nirman Samvaad’ ensures appropriate changes and smoothen the infrastructure development of Railways

New Delhi, January 19: To solve and discuss issues and matter of development in the Railway sector a meeting was organized by the Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) an arm of Ministry of Railways for fast track implementation of railway projects. The conclave ‘Nirman Samvaad’ was an initiative by Minister of Railways and Coal, Piyush Goyal taken to smoothen procedures and remove any blockage for ensuring smooth functioning. It was a major event aimed at taking measures to ensure expeditious implementation of ambitious Railway Infrastructure Development Plans.


 

The event majorly aimed at taking measures to ensure expeditious implementation of ambitious Railway Infrastructure Development plans. The event also included entrepreneurs of major firms and department of Railways. This event comprised of live interactions between the members involving around management Of 400 Construction & Consultation Companies. The Railway Minister also directed to take follow-up action with a view to make appropriate changes in the systems and procedures.

The issues raised covered concerns on contract management, improving cash flows, execution of projects, accelerating the review of various items to be acquired from Research Design and Standard Organisation approved vendors, adopting documents by Railways, delay in acquisition of land, problems in obtaining licenses of minor minerals, suggestions for reducing the time and cost over-run, expediting the payments of the contractors, increased requirement of training of technical manpower, availability of traffic and power blocks.
