Himachal CM Jai Ram Thakur gives added stress on construction, maintenance of roads of the state

Mandi, January 22: Being the hill state, Himachal Pradesh must have better infrastructure for better and empowered lifestyle. Therefore, the Himachal Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur is giving added stress on construction and maintenance of roads of the state.

 

CM Thakur on Sunday addressed Public meetings at Bhaatloodhar, Thachi and Panjain. On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that it was painful to seen people carrying loads on their back and walking through the tough terrain. He said that he was committed to lessen their back-load to give them relief. Thakur added that out of 58 Panchayats of Seraj constituency 56 have been provided road connectivity during his previous tenure as representative of the area.

In next five years, all the panchayats of the state will be provided road connectivity, said the Chief Minister and further adding that all the villages of Seraj would be linked by roads. The Chief Minister said that he was grateful to PM Modi and Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari who sanctioned as many as 63 National Highways for the State. “It would further improve the road network besides giving an added boost to tourism and State economy,” he said.

The Chief Minister also exhorted the people of his constituency to shun differences and party affiliations and join hands with the Government for ensuring development. Let the BJP rule Seraj for next many years to ensure the development of the constituency and to make it a model constituency. He exhorted all to join hands to take Seraj to new heights. “I talk less and believe in delivering the services and work hard”, he noted.

CM Jai Ram Thakur said that the works on three roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) had been sanctioned and the metalling would start on these soon. He said the sanctioned roads were Rs. 90 lakh Somgaad-Chalol road, Rs. 11.50crore Basan-Somgaad and Rs. 2.50 crore Naraingallu-Kuhan-Diddar Road. Besides, under state road project the Chief Minister announced a sum of Rs. 20 lakhs each for Thachi- Dandeli-Somgaad road and Thachi- Bijhar road.

He also announced a sum of Rs. 20 lakh for road to Didwaandhar road. He also announced a sum of Rs. 5 lakh for Luhri-Panala road. He further announced a sum of Rs. 10 lakh for Thalout-Kalani, announced Rs. 10 lakh for Murah to Ghaneeshar road, Rs. 5 Lakh each for Upper Sarli to Lower Sarli road and Kot-Nallah to Bara-Seri road respectively. A sum of Rs.10 lakh was also announced for road from Chhakidhar to Dobha via Malachi-Panala.

He, in the end, said that tender for metalling and tarring Sudhranighat road under PMGSY was in process and tenders for construction of Buraah-Panjain road under NABARD were also under process. Chief Minister also announced a Office (section) of JE PWD at Thachi, Baga-Chanaugi and Gada-Gusheni. He said that entire Seraj valley would be developed from the tourism point of view and a proposal was underway.
