Watch out! Railway stations and crowded places to be under drone camera surveillance

New Delhi, January 5: Making their stand firm on keeping passenger’s safety at top priority the official authorities of Railway has deplyoed two drone camera as a hawk's eye on railway stations. The officials are ready to undertake the monitoring activities of relief and rescue operations, progress of important work through this flying camera.

 

The railways have decided to use camera-fitted drones to enhance surveillance for security. The drone cameras will mainly be used for watching tracks, bridges, stations and yards. Since the railways have concentrated on modernization for safety and security reasons, utilization of drone cameras will be very fruitful.

It is taken into consideration that railway stations, yards, relief and rescue operations at the time of accidents or any other mishap, progress of railway works, non-interlinking and other vital works, conditions of railway track and related inspections will now directly be under the preview of railway officials.

 

A track circuit is a simple electrical device used to detect the absence of a train on rail tracks. It is then used to inform signalers and control relevant signals. These drone cameras will also be beneficial to be used in fairs and mela’s as these areas have major chunk of people and to avoid any mishaps the authorities have decided to install these cameras. People at times misplace and there is a messy situation in these melas and fairs, so these cameras have been initiated for safety of the people. Pune was the first city to have installed these drone cameras on railway tracks and station.
