Also, Trivendra Singh Rawat-led government wants to revive the dying Rispana River, one of the major sources of water for Dehradun, on the lines of the Sabarmati riverfront, where a seaplane carrying Prime Minister Narendra Modi had landed during the recent poll campaign.
Towards this end, a team from Uttarakhand would visit Gujarat shortly to study the model they had adopted for Sabarmati, as per the reports. , CM Rawat had visited the Kankaria Lake in Ahmedabad during his recent visit to Gujarat. He said that Uttarakhand would follow the model adopted in beautifying this lake. The state government aims to develop numerous lakes in Tehri, Nainital and other areas of the state as attractive tourist places.
