Boosting employment rail coach factory to be set up in Marathwada

Latur, January 31: One of the most backward regions of Maharashtra, Marathwada is set to get its massive rail coach factory in Latur. The decision was taken by Indian Railway Minister Piyush Goyal while discussing it with Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. This plant would manufacture Electric Multiple Units for suburban trains and coaches for metros.

 

Taking this project on top priority the Maharashtra Government has offered several concessions including in land, tariff taxes etc. the project is ought to set on fast track process and has attained all approvals. The new coach plant will generate an industrial ecosystem in the drought-prone region and will help a shift from agriculture to industry.

In a series of tweet by CM Devendra Fadnavis congratulated by tweeting "Thank you Piyush Goyalji for your commitment for setting up of factory of EMU for Suburban Railways and Metro coaches at Latur. Big boost to economic activities in Marathwada and huge employment opportunities,"

 

 Along with this, Minister Of Railway and Coal, Piyush Goyal also tweeted about setting up Rail coach factory in Marathwada.

 
Latur lies in the Marathwada region, is the most backward areas of Maharashtra. There have been few central government projects in this region. This will give a boost the ‘Make in India’ project and will create employment to a large number of people. Along with this the project will also boost the agriculture sector of the region.

Marathwada is a region which is highly backward and every year the region faces many issues pertaining to development and progress. It may be noted that the region suffers from heavy migration to other parts of the country. With this project many changes will be seen and the region will walk on path of progress and growth.
