Unveiling State Convention Centre PM Modi says ‘Development will originate in Arunachal Pradesh in coming days’

Itanagar, February 15: Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed by Chief Minister Pema Khandu. In morning PM Modi addressed people and dedicated several development projects in Itanagar. PM Modi expressed his hopes saying that "development will begin from Arunachal Pradesh." 

Expressing joy after arriving in Arunachal, PM Modi tweeted about one day visit informing that his visit to Arunachal Pradesh is related to three key projects in the state. The secretariat is already functional and this was a good step taken by the state government.

 

PM Modi also inaugurated the Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre in Itanagar. Addressing the inauguration event, PM Modi said that “Delighted to inaugurate a convention centre in Itanagar. This is more than a building, it is a vibrant centre that will further the aspirations of Arunachal Pradesh. There will be conferences and cultural activities that will draw government officials and private companies.”

 
 

Relating people as his own, PM Modi warmingly said that if there is a state in the north east that speaks and understands the most Hindi, it is "my Arunachal".

 

The Naharlagun- New Delhi express will run twice a week and will be called Arunachal Pradesh express, PM Modi said.

Speaking over development, PM Modi said that development will originate in Arunachal Pradesh in the coming days. He said that this development will illuminate India.

Shedding light over the Arunachal’s significance as state, PM Modi questioned Why should meetings only be held in the national capital? Further he explanined that we must go to all states and that is why I came to Shillong for a Northeastern Council meeting and an important meeting related to agriculture was held in Sikkim.I can tell you with great pride that ministers and officials from the Centre are visiting the Northeast very regularly, PM Modi added.

 

Stressing on different sectors of development, PM Modi said that there is so much work to do in the health sector. One aspect is human resource development, other is infra and there is also the need to use modern technology in the sector. The health sector needs special attention. Healthcare has to be of good quality and it must be affordable. We are working towards building medical colleges in all parts of the nation. This is because, when one studies in a particular area, one becomes better acquainted with the local health challenges, he added.

Lauding the efforts of CM Khandu PM Modi said that “I want to compliment CM @PemaKhanduBJP for the wonderful work he is doing. He has prepared a top quality roadmap on how Arunachal Pradesh should be in 2027. And, he did not only ask officials for inputs but also asked people from all walks of life.” Further Prime Minister Modi is set to address rallies in Santirbazar and Agartala, Tripura.
