Algeria, February 7: So for the second time this year Snow has covered the sand cover of Sahara desert. A rare snowstorm has swept into the Sahara Desert turning red sand dunes into white. The freak blizzard hit the small town of Ain Sefra in Algeria.
Sahara, which is famously known as one of the warmest places on the earth rarely receives snowfall. In last 40 years, this is the 4rth time Sahara has witnessed such scene. A crazy winter weather storm has covered the desert with heavy snow also in last month. More than 15 inches (40cm) blanketed sand dunes across the small town of Ain Sefra, Algeria.

A Russian meteorologist earlier said the recurrence of snowfall is Sahara Dessert is a result of much talked global warming issue. The statement is not even an individual standpoint but a view shared by members of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
