Centre downplaying Andhra Pradesh: Chandrababu Naidu

Amaravati, March 14: Telugu Desam Party National in-charge Nara Chandrababu Naidu took a swipe at BJP led NDA government for intentionally ignoring the sentiments of people of Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister who was interacting with TDP lawmakers via teleconference expressed deep regret over the stubborn attitude of center.

Taking a pot-shot on BJP’s apex leadership for side-lining the legitimate demand of Special category status under AP re-organization act 2014, Babu asked yellow army members to continue the fight for the welfare of the coastal state. Chandrababu went on saying that, Centre is doing 'grave injustice' with Andhra Pradesh by not addressing the problems of the state. Responding to the appointment drama, Babu targeted Union Minister Piyush Goyal for not granting permission to meet TDP MPs.

According to media reports, TDP leaders had sought an appointment from Railway Minister Goyal to put forth their long pending demand of Special Railway zone at port city Vizag but, the Minister reportedly denied the persimmon to TDP and preferred to meet YSR Congress MPs. Speculations were at rift about the possible poll understanding with BJP and YSRCP but BJP had already refuted the media reports. Meanwhile, the Telugu Desam Party on Wednesday gave an adjournment motion notice in both the houses of the Parliament to highlight the 'Special Category' Status issue. On March 7, the Telugu Desam Party had snapped ties with BJP for not fulfilling the promise of 'Special Category' Status.
