Telangana government clarifies on Samantha Akkineni’s remuneration

Hyderabad, March 30: Rejecting all the untrue reports, Telangana government has clearly mentioned that actress Samantha Akkineni, who is the brand ambassador for the Telangana handlooms and textiles does not take any kind of remuneration from the state government.
Addressing the state assembly, IT Minister KT Rama Ramo on Thursday mentioned that the versatile actress herself had expressed her wish to work towards the betterment of handloom industry. The Minister noted that Samantha who also runs the handlooms startup is aware of the declining condition of the poor weavers. On 31st January 2017, KTR took to Twitter announced Samantha as the brand ambassador for the Telangana handlooms and textiles.

Samantha Akkineni is a daughter-in-law actor Nagarjuna and wife of actor Naga Chaitanya. Samantha prominently works in Telugu and Tamil cinemas. She runs an initiative called Pratyusha support. Her NGO works in the filed health care.
