Now buy ration and pay by swapping your cards in Uttarakhand

Dehradun, April 25: Soon consumers will be able to pay online for purchasing government ration after the opening of Common Service Center (CSC) in government ration shops, online transaction facility will be available to consumers in Uttarakhand.

Food delivery system is being done online by the Food Supply Department. Under this, all the information about ration distribution and allocation will be available online. There are about 9,000 ration shops across the state. These are being installed under the CSC service.

After this internet services will be provided. The Department is now going to provide an online payment option to consumers to buy government ration under online transactions. This will also allow the consumer to pay cash through ATM card instead of cash.

These are the facilities that will be available:

-Online bill payment.

-Filling the government job form.

-Get the necessary information on the Internet.

Vipin Kumar (District Supply Officer Dehradun) says that CSCs are being opened in ration shops. Internet services will be provided here. Under this, consumers will be given the facility of paying online for purchase of ration.

Owners of these ration shops would be given skill development training after which they will be authorised to issue various certificates such as caste, age, residence, character, birth, death and pension. Also, there are plans to ensure that payments of electricity and water, mobile recharge can be made at these CSCs. PAN card can also be made through these centres.
