Dehradun, April 3: The High Court has listened to the petition filed against the implementation of NCERT books in private schools. During this time, the court has warned against the public schools' strike and warned that if any public school gets closed from tomorrow, legal proceedings will be initiated against them. Also, his petition will also be dismissed. The Court has directed the Chief Secretary to file a personal affidavit regarding the availability of books. In the case, the next hearing is scheduled for April 11.

The Government of Uttarakhand has decided to exclude the ICSE Board and implement only NCERT books in private schools from 1st to 12th schools. Against which the private schools filed petitions. While hearing this, the court has made the books compulsory and has made a rude remark on the public schools strike.

There were separate hearings on seven different petitions in this regard at Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia's bench. Knowledge World Majra Dehradun has filed a petition in the High Court saying that by issuing a mandate on August 23, 2017, the government had issued a mandate to run the books of NCERT in private schools and, after the publication of the private publisher's books, Banned.

He said in the petition that the main reason for this was that in private schools only books of private publishers are sold at high prices and parents have an extra burden. He said that if the commercialization of education is to be stopped, the books of private publishers are sold or implemented in any school or shop, and then legal proceedings should be initiated against them.

If a publisher's book is required for a topic, then it can be made available at NCERT rates. In order to run private publishers' books in these schools, they challenged this ruling in the High Court. The petition was asked to repeal the decision of the government as unconstitutional.
