Thiruvananthapuram, April 6: The curtain opens up to Asia’s largest start-up conclave ‘Huddle Kerala’ providing a platform for start-ups to pitch their products and interact with a wide array of technology and industry leaders from around the world.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the ‘Huddle Kerala,’ a startup ecosystem congregation, held at the Leela Beach Resort at Kovalam. On the first day, about 100 companies could pitch in their projects at Huddle 100 competition. 10 shortlisted would get an opportunity to be mentored by the top-notch industry leaders and coaches.

It is being organised by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) in association with Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and IAMAI Startup Foundation.

Huddle Kerala is aimed at ensuring maximum connect for startups with technology experts and leaders from countries in Asia and Europe.

There would be 30 sessions with 40 speakers, who would include successful founders, serial entrepreneurs and investors. The total number of participants would be around 2,000.

Huddle Kerala would serve as a platform for upcoming startups to showcase their product and business model in front of the entrepreneurs and industry stalwarts. It would provide opportunities for close interactive sessions between the participants.

Huddle Kerala will set the stage for the beginning of a Global Innovation Challenge, initiated by Silicon Valley-think tank Singularity University that leads the activities of the startups that are ready to take up the challenges faced by the world. Selected startups in the competition will be provided training in the US. Startups and their commercialization based on the project and research reports prepared by Central Government’s technology institute C-DAC will be initiated at the event.
