New Delhi, May 23: Opening wide doors of opportunity and new prospects, Indian Railway has once again extended hands for the people of India. In an online application process, Indian Railways on Tuesday invited candidates for recruitment to 8,619 posts of constables and 1,120 posts of sub-inspectors in the Railway Protection Force and the Railway Protection Special Force.
The vacancies were announced for the recruitment of 4,403 male candidates and 4,216 female candidates for the posts of constables and 819 male candidates and 301 female candidates for the posts of sub-inspectors. The online application will begin from 10 am June 1, 2018. Candidates who want to apply for RPF Sub-Inspector (SI) and Constables must apply on or before 30 June 2018. Inviting candidates to explore the opportunity, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted, “Indian Railways releases more than 9,000 jobs for Constable & Sub Inspector posts in Railway Protection Force and Railway Protection Special Force, opening up new opportunities for youth.”
Here are the important dates for the RPF recruitment 2018:
Opening Date for Submission of Online Application Form and Fee: June 1.
Last Date for Online Fee Payment: July 2.
Last Date of Submission of Online Application Form: June 30.
Last Date for Offline Fee Payment: July 5.
Educational qualifications:
Constable (Executive): Candidates should possess matriculation certificate from a recognized Board. Those who are awaiting results of the prescribed qualifications need not apply.
Age limit: 18-25 years.
Sub Inspector: Candidates should possess a degree from any recognized University and those who are awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed educational qualification need not apply.
Age limit: 20-25 years.
Date of birth: Date mentioned in the matriculation or equivalent certificate will be recognized. The age limit indicated in the notice will be considered as of July 1, 2018. The relaxation in upper age limit for the reserved categories will be applicable subject to submission of requisite certificates.
There will be no age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC-Non-creamy Layer (NCL) candidates applying against unreserved openings.
