Patna, May 3: Praising the efforts taken to boost tourism and celebrating the results occurred from the efforts are totally commendable. So doubling the efforts and making Indian tourism spots completely visible on the international tourism map, the center has decided that they would give complete air, train and road connectivity.

Pertaining to the tourism spots in Bihar, the Union Tourism Secretary Rashmi Verma while reviewing the development in the tourism sector stated that the central government has been taking efforts in boosting tourism through connectivity. Enabling air, train and road connectivity to Bodhgaya and Gaya in Bihar will ultimately help in creating and attracting more tourism.
The Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee (BTMC) member Arvind Kumar Singh said that the centre has decided to increase the connectivity of Gaya with other airports such as Kolkata and southern states. Besides, train services from Gaya to other cities of southern part should be expanded; he said adding that the Gaya-Patna road (NH-83) should also be repaired.
Rashmi Verma has also asked the Bihar tourism secretary to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the development of other tourist spots at Bodhgaya and Gaya. Addressing the meeting the Hotel Association also discussed matters related to issue of several Baudh Mahaviras being engaged in hotel business and demanded that the state government impose professional tax after identifying such Mahaviras, Singh said.
The union secretary expressed displeasure over the filth around the Vishnupad temple premises and asked the officials concerned to launch a sanitation drive.
This connectivity would bring a definite boost to tourism sector bringing more tourist in India.
